Uh oh! Somebody’s in trouble over at the Justice Department for inadvertently revealing that DOJ is planning to indict Julian Assange, the traitorous mastermind behind Wikileaks.
Assange could be a lynchpin for Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation into potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia or other foreign interference in our election.
As CNBC explains:
“Assange is a key figure in special counsel Robert Mueller’s inquiry into possible links between the Trump campaign and Russia because of the role his anti-secrecy organization played in disseminating damaging information about Hillary Clinton.”
It’s not actually clear what the Justice Department is planning to charge Assange with, but so far, the U.S. hasn’t managed to extradite him (he’s currently holed up in the Ecuadorean embassy in London).
