Graham, meanwhile, was a vocal critic. Today, the Republican party is the party of Trump in nearly every way, and Graham has warmed up to the president. There will be no hell to pay, no threat to Trump’s presidency, because Graham has come around. He has taken Trump’s side.”
Graham changes his tune on Jeff Sessions
Peter Suderman at Reason.com has a good reminder on Sen. Lindsey Graham’s words back in July 2017, when he said that if Trump fired Attorney General Jeff Sessions there would be “holy hell to pay.”
Well, Sessions has officially been ousted, yet Graham has completely changed his tune, saying the President has every right to change Attorney Generals and he is not “alarmed” at all.
Even when pushed by Fox News, Graham didn’t budget at all, calling the uproar “hysteria.” As Suderman writes:
